Dear Sir/ Madam, AIS continuously reviews all aspects of its business operations and as part of that review, AIS has decided to transfer your account to Aiqon Islamic.

Aiqon Amanah
Aiqon Islamic Sdn Bhd was incorporated as a Special Purpose Vehicle to acquire the Credit Card, HP, COOP, MOCL and SBB loans from AIS. The sale of this portfolio relates ONLY to those accounts as defined in the Vesting Oder issued by the High Court of Malaya and with effect from 31 October 2025

Customers have been notified of the transfer in the following manner:
• 22 May 2025, AIS sent a pre-disposal notification letter to all customers involved in the transfer;
• There were advertisements made in the Star and Berita Harian in 16 October 2025, publishing the AIS Vesting Orders; and
• A joint letter dated 1 Nov 2025 (by AIS Aiqon Islamic) was sent to all customers involved in the transfer. Depends on your locality, POS Malaysia may take a few days to deliver to your doorstep

Yes. AIS Aiqon Islamic have obtained approvals from Bank Negara, Ministry of Finance of Malaysia and all other relevant regulators. In addition, a vesting order from the High Court of Malaya have also been obtained.

Vesting Order with effective date of 31 October 2025 granted by the High Court of Malaya in Originating Summons No. WA-24M-67-09/2025.

No. AIS Aiqon Islamic have obtained approvals from the appropriate regulators and a vesting order from the High Court of Malaya have also been obtained.Therefore, the transfer of your account to Aiqon Islamic has been completed.

Please also note that AIS issued a pre-disposal notice to you on 22/05/2025, informing you of the bank’s intention to sell your debt to a third party. The notice also specified a timeframe within which you could contact AIS for settlement or approach AKPK for debt restructuring, and to revert to AIS within 90 days from the date of the notice.

May I confirm if you had responded to AIS regarding this notice?

• If your answer is “Yes,” kindly provide supporting proof.
• If your answer is “No,” please be informed that the absence of a response is deemed as your acceptance of the proposed debt sale.

Sure, we can arrange to resend copies of the letters to your mailing address. Can you provide us with your latest mailing address?

As the transfer of your account has been completed vide the vesting order granted by the High Court of Malaya, we are unable to re-transfer your account back to AIS.

We will investigate. If you have a record of your exclusion request, please provide it to us and we will revert to you as soon as possible.

According to AIS records, you had applied for the facility. Have you lodged a police report and submitted it to AIS prior to 31 October 2025.
If yes, please provide a copy of the police report.
If no, please make a police report and extend the copy for our further action. You may contact 03-20546688 or visit the nearest AIS branch immediately.

No, there will be no cost incurred for the transfer. The existing terms and conditions of the loan/financing will continue to apply.

The amount being transferred is the remaining outstanding balance of your account according to AIS records as at 31 October 2025.

If you are the primary cardholder, the supplementary card linked to your account will also be included in the debt sale. This is because all transactions and balances under both the primary and supplementary cards form part of a single account. Therefore, the total outstanding amount including any supplementary card usage has been transferred together with the primary account.

Yes, as the primary cardholder, you are fully responsible for all transactions made on both the primary and supplementary cards. The supplementary card is issued under your account, and all charges incurred by the supplementary cardholder form part of your total outstanding balance. Therefore, you remain liable for the full amount, including any transactions made by the supplementary cardholder.

We cannot comment on the practices of other banks. The sale of your account by AIS was carried out in line with regulatory requirements.

Yes, your credit card or hire purchase account number remains unchanged. However, please make all future payments to Aiqon Islamic via the AmBank account specified in the joint notice sent by AIS and Aiqon Islamic.

Where you have entered into a repayment plan, Aiqon Islamic will continuously monitor this and where necessary contact you to review your circumstances.

In the unlikely event that you do not keep up with your repayments, we may look to escalate your account through our collection procedures, which may include instructing an external debt collection company, or where appropriate, commence legal proceedings to recover the balance.

No, you cannot. The transfer of your account has been completed pursuant to the Vesting Order granted by the High Court of Malaya. We regret to inform you that it is not possible to revert your account to AIS.

Your CCRIS record will be reflected according to your account status. AIS will only update your CCRIS record upon receive notification of account settlement from Aiqon

Yes, the account record will remain in the Central Credit Reference Information System (CCRIS) until the outstanding balance is fully settled.

However, once the outstanding balance has been fully settled, either Aiqon or the borrower may request AmBank to update the CCRIS record to “Settled,” by submitting the necessary proof of full settlement.

No, you will not be receiving any statements from AIS. Any Loan/ Financing statements will be provided by Aiqon Islamic.
